Meet Aayush Kumar, a Delhi-based poker aficionado who is about to live one of his craziest dreams. Aayush is going to play the game of poker with the who’s who of the poker world in the poker Mecca of the world – Las Vegas.

This journey is 7 years in the making for Aayush and the credit goes to his commitment of dedicating 5-6 hours every day to amp up his poker skill.

Better known as his moniker ‘Akpoker’ in the poker arena, Aayush won a Vegas Satellite on Adda52.com. He then went on to win the finale which comes with both glory and a whooping 9 Lac Las Vegas package. We spoke to him at length about his win and his plans for Vegas.

A passionate player, Aayush plays both cash games and tournaments on Adda52 and has seen the site grow tremendously over the past 7 years. He refers to Adda52 as the ultimate poker destination in India and his loyalty towards the website is evident as he started his poker journey 7 years ago as well.

Preparing to play in Las Vegas requires Aayush to stay focused on his strategies and learn through watching poker videos and hands on practice. This trip will also take care of another of his passions which is travelling. His other interests are coding and website development. By profession, Aayush is an entrepreneur in the field of blockchain technology and website designing.

During the conversation, he pointed out that the game requires constant learning, practicing, and being in touch with the poker community, regardless of whether you are playing online or offline. A balance of belief in oneself and over-confidence is essential to be successful in poker.

So, what next for Aayush?

Travelling to his dream poker destination in June and coming back to India with a big win! His goal would be to invest the winnings in his entrepreneur program and in playing bigger tournaments with bigger rewards in India and the world. But this comes after a big celebration with family and friends. Well! That is fair!
