Nishant Sharma was born and raised in Mumbai. He pursued a bachelor's degree in commerce followed by a postgraduate diploma in event management. He got a job and worked in an event management company for three years before transitioning to poker. He was introduced to poker when he started playing poker on Zynga poker during his college days.

• The following year, he achieved deep runs in the Asian Poker Tour Summer Series Hanoi and the WPT Vietnam, with a combined winning of nearly $55,000. 
• In 2024, he made history by winning Poker Dream 10 in Vietnam, Poker Dream 11 in Malaysia, and Poker Dream 13 in Malaysia. He accumulated significant prize money and solidified his status in the Asian poker circuit.
