Paul Jackson's Poker Career
Paul Jackson started by playing brags and later played blackjack and roulette in casinos. He noticed people playing poker in one of the casinos and got intrigued. Later, in 1985, he picked up the game and started playing with a nickname based on the Carl Weathers film, Action Jackson.
He is best known for his online games but has also placed highly in major live games. He intended to play in the 2005 London Open but had already planned a holiday. Jackson called Iwan Jones, and along with Nick Gibson, he bought a share of Jones’s entry into a poker tournament. Jones won the $750,000 and Jackson made $250,000.
Jackson finished second in the 2005 Monte Carlo Millions event and won $600,000. He also finished in the money (ITM) in the 2005 World Heads-Up Poker Championship, the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and the European Poker Tour (EPT) second season.
Paul Jackson appeared in The Poker Godfather series, travelled across Britain and advised poker players.
