Peter Jenpen was born and raised in Denmark and served in the Royal Danish Army Military Police, where he was deployed in Iraq. He says his transition into poker was coincidental. He started playing poker with his friends, initially losing, but slowly convinced of his potential.

Peter Jepsen plays under the screen name Zupp. He made his name in high-stakes online poker, setting a world record by winning a $499,037 pot against Tom “durrrr” Dwan in 2008.
In 2006, he finished 3rd in the Caribbean Poker Classic and won $165,000. In March 2007, he won the European Poker Tour (EPT) Warsaw Main Event and won zł1.226 million.

From 2008 to 2014, Japsen planned the entire cheating operation targeting high-stakes opponents. He installed Trojan malware on his competitor’s laptop, often in hotel rooms near EPT stops. This allowed him to see his opponent’s hole cards during play. He carried out this scheme across Copenhagen, Aarhus, Las Vegas, Berlin, and Barcelona.
Several victims reported suspicious behaviour in 2014, which led to a five-year investigation and a full trial.
