Tobias emerged onto the international poker scene in 2004 and made a notable impact during the World Series of Poker (WSOP). In May 2004, he finished 12th in the WSOP $3,000 Pot Limit Holdem and won $10,460. In the same event, he finished 5th in the final table and won $107,800. He finished 55th in the WSOP Main Event No-Limit Hold’em World Championship and won $35,000.
In February 2005, he finished second in the L.A. Poker Classic, World Poker Tour, and took $154,351 home. The following year, he finished third in the Austrian Classics, Pot-Limit Omaha, and won $2,821. He also finished second in the Vienna Spring Festival, No-Limit Hold'em, and won $12,811.
In January 2007, he finished 15th in the European Poker Tour (EPT) Copenhagen and won $16,741. After this event, he disappeared from the live poker tournament.
