Poker is one of the few sports where a woman can compete on a totally equal footing with a man”, these lines said by well-known poker player Annie Duke, clearly explains the fact that female poker players are no less than their counterparts. Time & Again, there have been excellent women poker players that have emerged victorious & earned the coveted titles at prestigious poker leagues including World Series of Poker (WSOP), World Poker Tour (WPT) etc.

Annie Duke

Annie Duke is a popular professional poker player. Annie was born in Concord, New Hampshire & grew up in a family that had cards and competition in their blood. In 2010, she won the National Heads-Up Poker Championship, earning a cash prize of $500,000 in addition to the title. As of now, Annie holds the women's record for most "in the money" finishes at the WSOP, ranking 32nd overall with 38 cashes.

Kathy Liebert

Kathy Liebert is a famous American professional poker player. At the 2004 World Series of Poker, Kathy won a gold bracelet in a $1,500 Limit Texas holdem Shootout event. She was one of three women to win an open event in that year's WSOP. As of 2009, she has one World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, has made five WPT final tables and her total live tournament winnings exceed $5,600,000. Kathy is now a role model for most women poker players.

Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst is a professional poker player and a member of Team Pokerstars Pro, where she plays under the username “V. Selbst.”. Vanessa Selbst has made five final tables at the World Series of Poker, and has won WSOP bracelet in 2008 in a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha event.

Vanessa Ashley Rousso is a professional poker player who is also a law student at the University of Miami. She is popularly known by her Pokerstars online screen name Lady Maverick.

Jennifer Harman Traniello

Jennifer Harman Traniello is an American professional poker player. As of December 2011, her total live tournament winnings exceed $2,400,000. $982,358 of her total winnings have come from cashes at the WSOP.
