Teen Patti variations with Jokers
Auction
It is a popular variation of the Teen Patti game in which the Joker helps determine the value of the cards. Each player gets three cards, two placed upside down, and one remains open, representing the Joker.
You can either look at your cards or play blindly (without looking at your cards). The players start bidding, and the highest bidder can use their Joker. The process keeps repeating until all the games have been bought. Then, the game proceeds like a traditional Teen Patti.
AK47
The AK47 variation uses Aces, Kings, Fours, and Sevens as wild cards. These act as jokers and can replace any other card.
Joker Hunt
In this version, each player gets three cards, and the dealer then shows some cards twice the number of players plus three. For example, the dealer will show 8+3 cards if there are four players. You can discard the scar you don’t need and pick one from the open deck. The game ends when three face-up cards are jokers that substitute for other cards.
Pack Jack
In this version, the jack from all the suits becomes the joker. You can use this to replace any other card to make a set or a sequence. You get three cards, and the dealer places three joker cards in the middle of the table. When you fold, your cards replace the previous joker and become the new joker.
King Little
In this version, the king and the lowest-ranked card become the Joker. These act as wild cards to replace the cards you don’t need. The game begins when each player gets three cards, and the odd colour from the three cards becomes the Joker. You are forced to fold if all your cards are the same colour.
Buying Jokers Seen and Unseen
Again, the player gets three cards, and they get to decide whether to see their cards or not. You can turn your one card into a Joker by paying the pre-determined costs as a player. You can also buy Joker from other players.
One-Eyed Jack
You can buy Jokers from the deck and decide whether to take a risk or play with the existing Joker you have.
Banko Banko
Banko Banko variation means saving your Joker for later rounds.
Kiss Miss Bliss
You get five cards and choose two to make a joker. A consecutive pair is called a Kiss (5-6), A pair with a card missing in a sequence is called Miss (5-6), and a pair is called a Kiss (6-6).
Plus Sign
You get three cards, and five cards are placed in the middle, forming a plus sign. These are Jokers with different values; you can pick any card.
Pairs are Jokers
As the name suggests, any pair becomes the Joker.
Folding Joker
You get four cards and keep one aside, which cannot be used to make a hand. One card from the three community cards acts as a Joker for all the players. In case you Fold, your unseen card becomes the Joker.
Rotating Jokers
As the name suggests, the Joker keeps on rotating among players. You all get three cards, one face up and two face down. If you Fold, your card becomes the Joker for other players.
1942 Love Story
The game combines the theme of the movie 1942: A Love Story and Teen Patti. Based on the film, it adds new twists to the game.
Temperature
Justifying the name, the Joker's value keeps changing based on the game's temperature, meaning if the players are betting aggressively or merely checking and folding. This adds unpredictability and excitement to the game.
Lallan Kallan
All the odd-numbered cards are called Lallan, and all the even-numbered cards are called Kallan. The game begins when you get three cards; the card with odd colours becomes the Joker, and the cards with no odd colours get disqualified.
3 Patti variations with Different Hand Rankings
999
As the name suggests, the variation emphasises the number 9. You can make the best hand with three 9s. If you even get closest to the number 9, you win. All the cards, face cards, and 10 are worth 0 points. All the cards from 9 to 2 are worth their face value, and the ace is worth 1 point. So, if you have K-9-3, your total points will be 093.
Mufliss/Lowball
Mufliss, also known as Lowball, is another variation of TeenPatti. In this variation, you win by making the lowest hand possible. The hand ranking is reversed, meaning the High card becomes the strongest.
Odd Sequence
As the name suggests, odd numbers are significant in this variation. To win, you must make a hand with odd numbers such as 3,5, 7, etc.
Closest to 555
The rule is simple in this variation: make a hand combination closest to 555. For example, you can make a hand of 5-5-4-3-2.
Teen Patti Variations with Other Gameplay Changes
2 Cards Open
You and the other players will get two cards face up. The value of that card will be visible to everyone and can help them make informed decisions about their actions.
Stud
In stud, you receive both face-up and face-down cards. You can use other face-up cards to make informed decisions about your actions.
Discard One
In this discard variation, you discard one of the cards from the initial hand. You have to decide which card to discard and which to keep strategically.
Community
The variation is similar to poker, where you will get hole cards and share community cards. You win by making the best hand possible with your hole and the community cards.
3-2-1
In this variation, each player gets three cards and keeps discarding one until they are left with one card. That one card helps them make their best hand.
High-Low Split
In this variation, the pot gets divided among the highest and the lowest hand.
Sudden Death
The gameplay is simple. The dealer draws 13 cards to each player, and everyone starts discarding one card until someone shouts STOP. Then, the player with the highest card left in their hand wins.
Faceoff
In Faceoff, you face one opponent at a time.
In-Out
The variation allows players to decide whether to play or fold. Based on their cards, they can choose whether to play (In) or fold (Out) in each round.
Wild Draw
As the name suggests, you can draw additional cards called wild cards to improve your existing hand.
