101 Pool (13 card)-

In this format, players have to go through many continuous rounds in order to win the game until anyone of them has accumulated 101 points or more. The first player to reach 101 score will get eliminated. Eventually, one who survives till the end becomes the winner.

A player can also opt to drop out the game. If a player drops the game in the beginning, he is allotted 20 points & if he opts for a middle drop then 40 points are allotted to him. If a player does not take his 3 consecutive turns in the allocated time, it will be considered as a drop.

201 Pool (13 Card)-

In this format also the game is carried out in continuous rounds until a player has accumulated 201 points or more. The first player to reach 201 score will get eliminated. Eventually, the playerwho survives till the end is declared as the winner.

A player can also drop the game. The initial drop points are 25 and the middle drop points are 50. If a player does not take his 3 consecutive turns in the allocated time, it will be considered as a drop.

Best of Three (13 Card)-

In this format, there are only 3 rounds. The player with the highest score at the end gets eliminated & the player with low score is declared as the winner. In case of a tie, the pot is split. Neither drops nor re-join is allowed.

In this format, players cannot drop the game. Also re-join is not allowed.

Points Rummy (13 card)-

Points Rummy is the most popular & interesting format among all. It is a fast pace format and needs high proficiency.Players can play as many games as they want. At the end of each game, a winner is declared.

Game Winnings = (Sum of all points that opponents get) X (Rupee value of the point) – Game/Tournament fees

In Points Rummy format, also known as Strikes Rummy, a pre-determined rupee-value is associated with each pointplayed in the game. This point value is also known as multiplier.

The minimum buy-in for points rummy can be calculated as – 

Minimum Buy-in = 80 x Point Value (i.e. multiplier)

For instance, if the multiplier for the table is 0.1x, then the minimum buy-in for that particular table is 80*0.1 = 8 chips

Points Rummy is typically played by 2 to 6 players. It can be played with 2 or more deck of cards (including jokers).

A player can also choose to dropthe game. If a player drops the game in the beginning, he is allotted 20 points & if he opts for a middle drop then 40 points are allotted to him. If a player does not take 3 consecutive turns in the allocated time duration then it will be considered as a drop.

Points Rummy (21 card)-

For 21-Card rummy, the calculation of points is carried out the same way as it is done for 13 card rummy. However, the concept of "Marriage"& the presence of value cards make this format even more interesting where you can make money even if you lose. 

In this format also, a player can drop the game either at the beginning or in the middle of the game. The initial drop points are 30 while the middle drop points are 75. In an initial drop, no value cards are honored while in a middle drop, all value cards are honored. Beside this, no leave seat is allowed, once the game has started. However, if a player exits room, he is allocated 120 penalty points.
