What Is 7 8 (Satti Atthi) Card Game Online?

The 7 8 Card Game is a trick-based card game that is played only by two players. The game cannot be played by more than two players and is therefore played using 30 cards. In this game, regular jokers will have no role. However, there will be two additional jokers – the seven of spades which will be the small joker and the seven of hearts which will be the big joker.

In the 7, 8 card game online, one player will act as the dealer and the other one as the cutter. The players can choose the dealer between them either by playing a random card game or via a vocal discussion. Moreover, the dealer will be responsible for distributing the cards. The other player, who is called the cutter or the caller, will cut the deck of cards into proportions.

Each round in the Saat Aath card game will constitute 15 hands, where the dealer has to score more than seven hands and the cutter has to score more than eight hands.

How To Play Online 7 8 (Sath Aath)Card Game?

In the online 7 8 card game, there will only be 30 cards to be played and those will exclude the 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s of all suits. Furthermore, the 7s of clubs & diamond suits will also be excluded from the play. As mentioned earlier, the 7s of hearts and spades will play an important role in this game.

Therefore, the cards that are used in the game are:

Hearts  - 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A

Diamonds – 8, 9,  10, J, Q, K, A

Clubs – 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A

Spades – 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A

Once the dealer is successful in distributing the cards, the cutter will then dictate the trump suit. The 7 of hearts will be the highest trump suit and then comes the 7 of spades.

The Seven Eight Card Game starts with the dealer shuffling the cards. Then the dealer offers the cards to the cutter to cut them and then provides a hand of five cards to each player. The players will then pick up the cards and look at them. The cutter will then choose as well as announce the trump suit.

Once done, the dealer will then deal a row of five cards, which are face down in front of each player and then a face-up card on top of each of the five face-down cards. Thus, each player will now have 15 cards – out of which ten are face-up cards and five are face-down cards.

The cards will then be played in a multiple series of 15 tricks or hands, each hand containing two cards, which means one card from each player. In case both of the cards are of the same suit, then the card which will have the highest ranking will win the game. And if one of the cards is a trump card, then the trump will win the Seven Eight Game. However, if the two cards are of different suits and there are no trump cards, then the card which is first played will win, doesn't matter whichever is higher.

The cutter will start the first trick or first hand. The winner of each hand or trick in this saat aath game will take the two cards and thereby store them in face-down mode. Once done, the next trick will begin. The cards which will be available to play are the ones that are present in a player's hand and the face-up cards on the table. And when a face-up card is played from the table, then the card which was face down under it will also turn into a face-up card, available to be played at a later time in the game.

Thus, the first card in a hand or trick can be of any available cards. The other player should respond by playing a card of a similar suit. In case no similar suit card is available (either in hand or face-up cards on the table), then any other card can be played.

The game will continue until all the 15 hands or tricks have been played and both of the players have run out of cards. In the end, the dealer should have more than seven hands and the cutter should have more than eight hands. In case the dealer wins exactly 7 tricks and the cutter wins exactly 8 tricks, then the game will end in a tie and there will be no winner.

So, by following the above-mentioned steps, you’ll be able to learn how to play a 7 8 card game (Satti Atthi/Sath Aath).

7 8 Card Game Rules & Regulations

When it comes to the 7 8 card game rules, the following things should be considered:

  1. The 7s Will Always Belong To The Trump Suit

In this game, the 7s cards indicate that they are the trump suit. Hence, whether the player plays the 7s of heart or 7s of spades, they will all be considered the trump card. Trump cards will win you hands without any questions asked and they carry the maximum amount of value.

  1. The First Round Winner Gets An Advantage

Since the dealer has to win more than 7 tricks and the cutter has to win more than 8 tricks, winning the first game will give the respective player a greater advantage to close the game quickly.

Scoring Systems/Hand Rankings of 7 8 Card Game (Seven Eight)

The cards which are of the trump suit will have the highest score. The lowest card of the trump suit will be the 8 of hearts, which is then followed by 9, 10, J, Q, K and A – in the increasing order of the score.

A higher score than the ace will be the 7 of spades, which is the small joker and higher than that will be the 7 of hearts, also known as the big joker.

Online 7 8 Card Game (Sath Aath) Vs Online Poker

In both poker as well as in 7 8 card games, skills are required to outperform the opponent. There's no doubt that the 7 8 card game is a very tricky game to play, right from the beginning. This is because there will be 15 cards played to each player and the dealer/cutter has to win a specific number of hands/tricks to win the game.

Comparatively, playing poker can be an easy game to spend time on, because not only are the rules simpler but also there are no specific rules so the player has to win a specific number of hands to win the game.

Furthermore, in poker, there is the enjoyment of playing with up to 14 players. However, in the 7 8 card game, the maximum number of players is only limited to two.

Hence, poker is undoubtedly the better choice of the two.
