Patrik Antinous Quotes

Here are a few quotes from Patrik Antonius:

"I don't think that playing well depends on having a strong personality. It's more about having good judgement and discipline." - Antonius

Discipline is an important quality for any poker player to have. It involves being able to maintain control over your emotions and make decisions based on logic and reason, rather than being swayed by your feelings. This can be especially challenging in poker, as the game can be highly unpredictable and it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of the moment.

Having discipline in poker can help you make better decisions at the table, avoid costly mistakes, and stay focused on your long-term goals.

"Poker is a lot like life. It's not always about getting dealt the best cards or winning every hand. It's about how you play the cards that you do get and how you handle the ups and downs." - Antonius

Winnings and losses are a normal part of the game and that you should not get too caught up in the short-term results.

Instead, you should try to focus on your long-term goals and on making the best decisions that you can at the table. By keeping a level head and not letting your emotions get the best of you, you will be better equipped to handle the ups and downs of poker and come out ahead in the long run.

"The key to winning at poker is being able to adapt to your opponents and the table. You have to be able to read people and figure out what they're trying to do." – Antonius

By understanding your opponents' strengths and weaknesses, you can adjust your own strategy and try to gain an edge. The more attention you play and gather information, the easier it becomes for you to make informed decisions in the game.

"In poker, you can't always control the cards that you're dealt, but you can control how you play them. It's about making the best decisions that you can and not letting your emotions get the best of you." - Antonius

When you're able to stay calm and focused, you're more likely to be able to think clearly and make logical decisions based on the information available to you. By keeping your emotions in check, you can avoid ‘tilt’ and maintain a more consistent level of play.
