Annette Obrestad - Poker Player

Annette Obrestad is a Norwegian poker player. She is the youngest player ever to win a World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) bracelet. She is also a Full Tilt Pro and plays under the username ‘Annette_15’.

Personal Life

Annette was born on September 18, 1988 in Norway. Her youth was spent with a heavy concentration on education, but her fondness for competition led her to study bowling. But as she watched bowling on television, she saw an advertisement for an online poker site, where she started in free money games, won a freeroll tournament for real money, and therefore began her poker career at a very young age.

Tournaments

Between September 2006 and February 2007, she won over $500,000 on Pokerstars.com, $200,000 on UltimateBet.com, and $136,000 on FullTiltPoker.com. On September 17, 2007 Annette won the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe Main Event the day before her 19th birthday by winning the one million-pound sterling (US$2.01 million at the time of the event) first prize. As of February 2008, Pocketfives.com, a site that tracks online poker, ranks her number 51. She also has been the site's top-ranked player in the past. In July 2007, Annette won a $4 buy-in 180 person online Sit n Go. On June 8, 2008, she won first place and $35,000 in the Betfair Sunday $125k Guaranteed Event. In December 2008, she won first place in the Ultimate Bet $100k GTD tournament. In May 2010, she won the Sunday 500 for $87,400.With over $3 million accumulated in live events to date, Annette signed with Full Tilt Poker in early 2010 as one of the members of its elite top-tier team, just months before preparing to play her first WSOP in Las Vegas since turning 21.
